Manually
installing updates
If you are unable to use the Automatic Updates system
from within Phoenix, or your computer is not connected
to the internet, you can use the links and instructions
below to manually download, transfer (if neccesary), and
install available updates.
If
possible you should always use the Automatic Updates system
to ensure best results.
To install an update
from the list below, please follow these steps:
•
Make
sure that you have at least Phoenix
Version 2.5 installed on your computer
- If you have an earlier version, please navigate
to our Downloads
page for more information. To check this, look at
your Windows Title Bar when running the program:
•
When
you have found an update that you would like to install,
click the "Download
Now" button.
•
A dialog will appear asking what you
would like to do with the file. Click "Save":
•
A new dialog will open asking for the
location to save the file to. You should point this
to your "My documents
/ PhoenixRC / Downloaded Updates"
folder:
•
Start
the download, and wait for the transfer to complete.
You can then repeat the above process until you have
downloaded all of the updates you wish to install.
•
Once
you have downloaded all required updates, open your
Start Menu > Programs
> PhoenixRC menu, and click the
shortcut inside titled "Install
Updates Manually":
•
You
may be asked by Windows to confirm that you wish the
update installer to run, you should click "Yes".
•
You
will also be asked if you wish to "Install
Updates Manually". Again, you
should click "Yes".
•
The
updates will be applied to the program, and Phoenix
will automatically start.
